Illargui is a company present in the food sector since 1971. Its specialty is the manufacture of industrial grated bread, from bread made exclusively for this purpose in its facilities. Its factory in Salvatierra (Araba) is one of the most modern and advanced in the world in its sector.
Its philosophy is to offer a product and a service adapted to the needs of each customer, covering the current demands of the market: a product of quality, with an efficient and reliable service, and in a competitive cost. They regularly manufactured about 50 kinds of grated bread, but the number of existing references are more than a hundred.
Endaia is the brand under which, the Breadmaker Illargui markets its products in Zumarraga, Urretxu and Legazpi, region where began his career with the union of small bakers. In Basque, the word "Endaia" refers to the wooden spoon for the oven used in the production of bread. Today is also the symbol of their commitment to traditional systems of production that they still use.
All breads are healthy, made without additives and improvers. The quality and the taste of the bread come from artisan processes and the choice of the best raw materials (100% natural products - flour, yeast, salt and natural sourdough). In the case of organic products, its activity is endorsed by the Basque Country Agriculture and Organic Food Council (ENEEK).
