The Basque Country Food Cluster considers the natural value chain in the food sector in the broadest sense, bringing together activities that range from primary production and processing to distribution, catering and hospitality, until the products reach the end consumer.

The competitiveness of this chain is also strengthened by the presence of other agents related to the auxiliary industry (packaging, machinery, and capital assets, etc.) and to the provision of support services.

In addition, the sector maintains a close relationship with other relevant local agents, including the public administrations, scientific-technological agents, and other public agencies.
