BASQUE CULINARY CENTER
The Basque Culinary Center Foundation, based in San Sebastián, was established in 2009 as an ambitious project that involved training, research, and innovation aimed at developing the gastronomic sector, with a clear international vocation and the idea of linking cuisine to management, science and other disciplines.
It is a unique, innovative project that aims to become a benchmark in the sector regarding knowledge and promoting gastronomy.
It involves three main activities: The School of Gastronomic Science, dependent on Mondragon Unibertsitatea; the Centre for Food and Gastronomy Research and Innovation; and a gastronomic event and promotion platform. It has reached agreements with more than 50 companies.
The centre is also supported by some of the most relevant international chefs and public institutions.
